THE MISSION

The mission of Calvary Chapel Vineland is the same mission Jesus gave his followers: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

As you view the pages of this site we pray it will assist you in understanding our purpose and ministry.

Calvary Chapel Vineland exists for one purpose, and that is to glorify our heavenly Father through our love, service, and devotion to Him. Our desire is to deepen our devotion to Him through the study of His Word, because we believe that through studying the Bible we are equipped for the Lord's work. Therefore we spend a considerable amount of time in fellowship and studying God's Word together. The fruit of our dedication to God and His Word is a heart that desires to serve Him and worship Him with our daily lives.

Our objective is to help God’s people navigate their way to Jesus Christ and to build the kingdom of God here in our cities. This is our part in the great commission that Jesus gave to His church. We may not go to every part of the world, but we will bring the gospel of our Savior Jesus Christ to our cities in hopes of bringing as many people to salvation as possible.
If you don't have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, we hope that you would consider joining us as we worship God and learn about Him every week. If you do know Jesus, then we hope to be able to encourage you in your daily walk with God and your Christian service to Him.

If you're living in the Vineland area, we want to invite you to one of our weekly Bible studies (see map for directions). To further your spiritual growth, we have provided online Bible studies for you and we are adding to them regularly.

If there is any other way we may assist you, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will do our best to answer your questions and to help you in whatever way we are able.

In His Holy Name,
Pastor Anthony Ippolito

THE VISION

Disciple The Believer

We believe that the primary function of the Christian Church is to disciple and equip the believers for Christian life and to conduct the work of the Christian ministry. The saints are effectively equipped, established, and discipled through the teaching of God's Word.
Ephesians 4:11-14

Develop The Kingdom

We believe that God calls some to full-time Christian service. As we disciple and equip the believer, they will respond to God's calling and will develop a passion and purpose to build the kingdom of God here on earth by going forth and fulfilling the Great Commission to "go into all the world and preach the Gospel"
Mark 16:15

Deliver The Lost

We believe as the Bible declares, that we are all sinners possessing a sin nature. We seek to deliver the sinner with the message of Christ's love as Christ delivered us. "As many as receive Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name."
1 John 1:2

WHAT WE BELIEVE

THE BIBLE
The Bible is the inspired and authoritative record of who God is, His actions throughout history, and His instructions for life. Written by human authors guided by the Holy Spirit, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments are entirely trustworthy, without error in their original writings, and remain the primary means by which God speaks today.
(Deut 4:1-2, 17:19; Ps 19:7-10; Prov 30:5; 2 Tim 3:15-17; Heb 4:12; 2 Pet 1:19-21)
GOD
There is one true and living God who created all things and rightfully rules over everything. He eternally exists as three distinct yet unified persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God and co-equal in divinity, existing eternally in perfect unity.
(Gen 1:1-2; Deut 6:4; Ps 24:1; Matt 3:16-17, 28:19; John 1:1-3; Acts 5:3-4; 1 Cor 2:10-11)
HUMANITY
All humans are created uniquely in God's image, holding inherent worth from the moment of conception. Humanity is designed to know and delight in God, responsibly steward His creation, and live in alignment with His purposes, values, and instructions.
(Gen 1:26-27; Deut 10:12-13; Ps 16:11, 139:13; Is 43:7; Mic 6:8; John 17:3)
ETERNITY
Humans are created for eternal existence. Those reconciled to God through faith in Jesus Christ will experience His unmerited grace and dwell eternally with Him in heaven. Those who remain separated from God by sin at death will face His righteous judgment and be eternally separated from Him in hell.
(Job 19:25-27; Is 25:8; Dan 12:2; Matt 25:46; 1 Thess 4:13-18; 2 Thess 1:7-12; 1 John 2:25; Rev 21-22)
SALVATION
Salvation is the gracious gift of God available to sinners through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Recognizing our inability to save ourselves, Jesus lived a sinless life on our behalf, died as our substitute, and rose again, offering eternal life. Salvation is personally received by repenting from sin and trusting fully in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Those genuinely saved are assured of their eternal security because God's grace not only saves but continually transforms and sustains them.
(John 1:12, 3:16, 10:28-29; Acts 3:19; Rom 3:10-12, 8:1, 28-39; 1 Cor 15:1-3, 9-10; 2 Cor 5:18-21; Eph 2:1-10; Col 2:13-14; Titus 2:11-12; 1 Pet 1:3; Jude 24)
SIN
Sin is humanity’s most significant problem, damaging our relationship with God. Following Adam and Eve’s initial rebellion, all people inherit a sinful nature, willingly choosing disobedience against God. This sin separates humanity from God, leads to His just judgment, and causes widespread brokenness in our lives and world.
(Gen 3; Ps 51:5; Is 59:2; Matt 12:36; Rom 3:10-23, 5:12-21, 8:20-22; Eph 2:1-3; Heb 9:27)
JESUS
Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, entered human history, fully God and fully man. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, He lived perfectly, died sacrificially, and rose bodily from the dead, achieving salvation for humanity. Jesus ascended into heaven and will visibly return to establish His eternal reign.
(Matt 1:18-23, 28:6; John 1:1-2, 14; Acts 1:9-11; Rom 4:25; Phil 2:6-7; Col 2:9; Heb 1:1-3; Rev 19-22)
THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is fully divine, co-equal with the Father and Son, dwelling within every believer from the moment they receive salvation. He draws people toward Jesus, empowers believers for godly living and service, and provides spiritual gifts that must be practiced according to biblical instruction and with love. Believers are encouraged to seek continual filling and guidance by the Spirit.
(Ezek 36:26-27; Matt 28:19; John 15:26; Acts 1:8; 1 Cor 3:16; 12-14; Gal 5:22-23; Eph 5:18; Titus 3:5)
THE CHURCH
The Church is the collective community of believers in Christ throughout all ages, set apart for God's purposes. As the body and bride of Christ, the Church has a unique relationship with God and a specific mission—the Great Commission. Believers are expected to actively engage with a local church, which is a visible expression of the global community of faith.
(Matt 28:19-20; Acts 2:42-47; 1 Cor 1:2, 12:12-13; Eph 4:11-16, 5:25-27; 1 Pet 2:9; Heb 10:24-25; Rev 4)
GENDER IDENTITY, MARRIAGE & SEXUALITY
God intentionally created humanity as distinctly male and female, establishing gender, marriage, and sexuality as foundational aspects of His creation design. Marriage, a sacred and lifelong union exclusively between one biological man and one biological woman, reflects God's relationship with His people. Sexual intimacy is a God-given gift reserved solely within marriage; therefore, any sexual activity outside heterosexual marriage falls short of His design and is considered sinful.
(Gen 1:26-28, 2:18-24, 5:2; Deut 22:5; Mal 2:13-16; Matt 19:4-9; Rom 1:26-27; 1 Cor 6:9-11, 18; Eph 5:21-33)
BAPTISM & COMMUNION
Baptism and communion are physical symbols given by God to illustrate and reinforce spiritual realities. Baptism by immersion is a believer’s public testimony of personal faith and commitment to Christ. Communion, observed regularly by believers, commemorates Christ's sacrifice, strengthening faith and deepening fellowship among Christians.
(Matt 3:13-17, 26:26-30; Acts 2:38-42, 16:30-33; Rom 6:3-5; 1 Cor 10:16, 11:23-30; Col 2:12)
THE LAST THINGS & JESUS' RETURN
God will sovereignly conclude history according to His perfect timing and divine purpose. We hold to a premillennial view of eschatology, believing that Jesus will personally and visibly return prior to establishing a literal thousand-year reign on earth. At His return, He will raise the dead and bring final judgment, rewarding individuals with either eternal blessing or eternal punishment based on their response of faith to Him during their earthly lives. While various perspectives exist regarding the precise details of these future events, our priority is not to debate endlessly or speculate excessively. Rather, the certainty of Christ’s return should motivate believers toward faithful living, fill us with confident hope and joyful anticipation of eternity with Christ, and compel us with urgency to share the gospel, knowing that for unbelievers Christ's return means eternal separation from God in unending sorrow.
(Matt 16:27, 24:1-51; Mark 13:10; Luke 14:12-24; 2 Cor 5:10; 1 Thess 4:13-5:11; 2 Thess 1:7-12; Heb 9:26-28; 2 Peter 3:7-18; Rev 20-22)
